The kids’ bedroom was bright and airy, sunlight pouring
through the windows. While cleaning the connected
bedrooms, Bibi spotted the roses, lined up on Philo’s desk,
now streaked with colorful dyes. Mama paused in the
doorway, sighed, and quietly stepped into her room. Papa
found her there and gently said, “They didn’t mean harm. I’ll
talk to them.” Later, he knelt beside Philo and Lily. “Those
